Do we really see goats in trees?

Often, yes. Argan trees line parts of the route and goats are known to climb them to reach the fruit. We stop at a safe viewpoint when they are present.

Could I stay overnight instead?

Certainly. Many guests love Essaouira enough to stay a night or two, and we can easily extend the trip and arrange a stylish sea-view riad.

Once there, the compact, UNESCO-listed medina invites unhurried exploration on foot. You will wander the arcaded streets and galleries, stroll the sea ramparts with their cannon and crashing waves, and visit the picturesque blue fishing harbour where the day's catch is landed and grilled. There is time to browse the workshops of thuya-wood artisans and, if you wish, to visit an argan-oil cooperative run by local women.

A long, relaxed seafood lunch by the water is the natural centrepiece of the day. Afterwards, feel the sand between your toes on the wide beach or simply enjoy the light and the breeze before the drive back to Marrakech. It is a refreshing, restorative escape to the ocean.
