Do Dutch Citizens Need a Visa for Morocco?
No — Dutch passport holders can enter Morocco visa-free for tourism stays of up to 90 days, and Morocco is a short, direct flight from Amsterdam (roughly 3.5 hours). You'll need a passport valid at least 6 months beyond arrival. Confirm current entry rules before your trip, as policy can change.

Given the short flight, Morocco works well as a shoulder-season escape from Dutch weather — spring and autumn offer the most comfortable temperatures for both cities and the desert, while summer can be genuinely hot inland (Marrakech regularly exceeds 35-40°C in July-August).
Money: Dirhams, Cards, and Cash
The dirham (MAD) is a closed currency, exchanged only within Morocco. ATMs are widely available in cities and generally accept Dutch debit/credit cards — notify your bank before traveling. Keep cash for smaller riads, taxis, and souks.
