According to the departure time, our English-speaking driver/guide will come to greet you at your location. Then start our 4 days Fes desert tour by driving to Ifrane “The Switzerland of Morocco”. At our arrival, we will discover the city and stop for a Coffee according to your choice. Our next destination will be to Azrou forest, where we can see the monkeys and make a stop for some photos. In a while, our desert trip continues towards Zaida, (A village where we will stop for a lunch break at the top of the Middle Atlas mountains). After lunch, we drive to Midelt (The apple Capital) where we will stay overnight in a panoramic hotel.
After breakfast, we continue our Desert tour 2nd day towards the Middle Atlas and the Valley of Ziz. This valley is famous for its Palm grove, we can make a stop in a panoramic spot to see the green nature with its Berber villages along the valley. We continue our journey by crossing the valley before we face the golden sand dunes of Merzouga. Upon arrival at our Desert area, we will drive to our panoramic hotel for the overnight with a dunes view.
After breakfast, we will get ready to go on a 4×4 desert excursion with our English-speaking driver.
We will start with a visit to the lake of the desert dunes. This lake is a miracle for Nomads, where they feed their camels and sheep. Afterward, we will continue our excursion to visit a Nomad family behind the sand dunes. We will be welcomed at their tent, and have a cup of tea with them. Our journey continues towards Miffis mines through the Rally Dakar off-road itinerary. After a while, we will drive to Khamlia village. This village is famous in the desert for its black people who came from Africa to settle in Morocco a long time ago. These people are known as Gnawa with their soul music. While we are there, we’ll visit their music house. We will be welcomed with a cup of tea and take a set to watch these black men dressed in white playing their songs. Being there, we can have an opportunity to dance and enjoy the moment. After some time, we will go for a special lunch in the desert to have Berber pizza or Couscous. After lunch, We will drive back to our hotel to get ready for our Camel excursion to the top of Sand dunes to catch an amazing sunset view. Then continue with camels to our fully prepared Berber camp for dinner and overnight under a thousand desert bright stars and quiet peaceful sky.
Our day will start with a morning sunrise over the sand dunes, then have breakfast and shower. After everyone is ready, we will drive towards Erfoud city “The Fossil’s capital”. According to the time, we might make a stop in one of the Fossil’s workshops to explore how they make fossils. In a while, we will drive back to Fes, passing by the Middle Atlas. Upon arrival, we will accompany you to your accommodation where our Desert trip comes to the end.
