At departure pointed time, our driver will come to meet you and make sure you are ready for our 4 day Fes Marrakech desert tour. Our destination will be Ifrane ‘The Switzerland of Morocco’. On the way to Azrou forest, we will make a stop to see the monkeys and take some photos. Afterward, we will continue our day tour towards the Anti Atlas mountains. Our Midday meal will be taken in Zaida city, then continue the trip for the day towards the Sahara desert dunes. We then pass by Midelt ‘The Apple capital of Morocco’, and cross the Anti Atlas before we reach Ziz Palm Grove. This valley is known for its thousands of palm and olive trees also with its Mud building Berber villages. We will stop at this panoramic park of the valley to take some photos and have a break before continuing our way to the sand dunes of Merzouga. Upon arrival at our hotel, We will be welcomed with a glass of Berber tea before check-in for our rooms. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
After breakfast, we will get ready to go on a 4×4 desert excursion with our English-speaking driver.
We will start with a visit to the lake of the desert dunes. This lake is a miracle for Nomads, where they feed their camels and sheep. Afterward, we will continue our excursion to visit a Nomad family behind the sand dunes. We will be welcomed at their tent, and have a cup of tea with them. Our journey continues towards Miffis mines through the Rally Dakar off-road itinerary. After a while, we will drive to Khamlia village. This village is famous in the desert for its black people who came from Africa to settle in Morocco a long time ago. These people are known as Gnawa with their soul music. While we are there, we’ll visit their music house. We will be welcomed with a cup of tea and take a set to watch these black men dressed in white playing their songs. Being there, we can have an opportunity to dance and enjoy the moment. After some time, we will go for a special lunch in the desert to have Berber pizza or Couscous. After lunch, We will drive back to our hotel to get ready for our Camel excursion to the top of Sand dunes to catch an amazing sunset view. Then continue with camels to our Berber camp for dinner and overnight under a thousand desert bright stars and quiet peaceful sky.
Since we are in the desert, we might wake up early to catch a sunrise view. Then have our breakfast in the camp and depart for our day tour. Our destination will be towards Todra Gorge, passing by the Rissani and Erfoud city “The Fossil capital”. At our arrival at Todra Canyons, we will enjoy a walk under 300M Gorge with a running river.
After some time, we will continue our tour to Dades Valley crossing its green Fig and olive trees before we reach these natural Rocks known as “Monkey toes”, because of their natural form. Dinner and overnight in the middle of the Dades Canyon hotel.
After breakfast, we will drive towards the Rose Valley passing by the Valley of Skoura and Ouarzazate on our way to Ait Benhaddou. At our arrival at the Kasbah, we will go on a walking visit with our English-speaking driver/guide to discover this small village which is now a UNESCO matrimonial historical site and a house of many Glaoui family members. After our visit, we will return to a Moroccan panoramic restaurant facing the Kasbah while taking our lunch break.
After lunch, we will cross the High Atlas mountains on the way to the red city of Marrakech where our Desert tour will come to the end.
